Kay Myers-Thompson, 77, of Westminster, Md. died peacefully in her home on May 21, 2015. She was born on July 27, 1937 in Irvington, Va. She was the daughter of the late Lemuel and Mabel Jett of Irvington. Surviving are her two sisters Marie Barton and Virginia Edwards; 5 children Leo Myers, Vickie Fisher, Sharon Myers and Kathleen Frazier. She also had 13 grandchildren: Mark Pickett, Katina Myers, Ben Walsh, Carrie Yost, Leo Myers Jr., Nicole Myers, Ashley Eckard, Eric Frazier, Allison Frazier, Sarah Fisher, Luke Fisher, Brian Myers Jr. and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Jack Jett, sisters Katheen Daugherty, Bonsie French, Jeanie Diehl and granddaughter Tracey Pickett. Kay devoted her whole life to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and loved spending time with her sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a Sunday school teacher of 2-3 year olds at Emmanuel Baptist church in Gamber for many, many years. She worked hard to get a degree in early childhood development. A memorial service will be held on May 30, 2015 at 12:00 pm at Church of the Open Door located at 550 Baltimore Blvd. in Westminster, Md. After the service family and friends are invited to celebrate Kay's life at Sunny Brooke Senior Apartments on 225 Frock Drive in Westminster, Md.
