Kevin Lee Thompson, 43, of Westminster, MD, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at his home. Born March 22, 1972 in Westminster, he was the son of Barbara Ann (Sauble) Thompson of Westminster, and the late David Leroy Thompson. He was the loving and devoted husband of Glenna Diane (Wivell) Thompson. Kevin was the Electronics Department Manager at Walmart in Eldersburg, MD, where he was employed for 20 years. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf, collecting sports cards and memorabilia, buying and selling on eBay, watching NASCAR racing, and spending time with his family. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are sisters, Dawn Smith and husband Marlin, and Denise Edmondson and husband T.J., all of Alabama; step-sister, Lisa Bardoff and husband Chuck of Westminster; step-mother, Barbara Thompson of Westminster; sister-in-law, Sue Colson of Allentown, PA; brother-in-law, David Wivell of Brooklyn, MD; special nephew, Timothy Dorsey and wife Kristin of Westminster; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was predeceased by step-sister, Debra Falloni. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, February 29, 2016 at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis St., Westminster, MD with Funeral Celebrant John Morrill officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home.
