Lance Hayes Larkins, 51, of Hampstead, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House in Westminster, from cancer.

Born Oct. 18, 1961, at Fort Rucker, Ala., he was the son of Hayes C. Larkins and Eudora Carmichael Larkins. He was the husband of Terri Foster, who died in 1992.

He was a graduate of Hereford High School and the Community College of Baltimore. He had enlisted in the Navy and was an electronic technician Petty Officer 2nd Class serving on the USS Tarawa in the Pacific Theater of Operations.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are sisters Lynda L. Massicot and husband Richard, and Laura L. Lieberman and husband Michael, all of Reisterstown, Lisa L. Clegg and husband Doug, of Pasadena, and Lydia L. Shoults, of Severna Park; eight nephews and nieces; one grandniece; and one grandnephew.

There will be no viewing. Interment will be held at a later date in a family plot in Enterprise, Ala.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Carroll Hospice's Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
