Larry E. Schreiner, age 81, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017 at his home in Westminster, Maryland. He was born on June 14, 1935 in Unadilla, Nebraska. He was the son of the late Harold and Loah Schreiner of Potter, Nebraska. Larry was the husband of Doris Devilbiss Schreiner of Westminster, Maryland for 26 years. At the age of nine, Larry moved to a wheat farm north of Potter, Nebraska. He attended and graduated from Potter High School in 1953. In January of 1954, Larry went to work in the oil field. He moved east in July of 1964 and started his career with Colonial Pipeline. He retired on October 31, 1995 after 31 years of service. Larry loved spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. He enjoyed traveling in his motor home, golfing, completing home projects, and watching both NASCAR and Sprint car races. He took joy in Minneapolis Moline tractors and racing remote control boats with his friends in Florida when they were at their 'Snowbird' park in Dade City. Larry is survived by his son Richard Schreiner and his wife Holly, daughter Denise and her husband Mark Babbin, stepson Jeffrey and his wife Deborah Gosnell, all of Westminster and stepdaughter Kathy Condon of Baltimore. Larry has four grandsons, Hunter and Benjamin Gosnell of Westminster and Bobby and Brian Kane of Finksburg. His siblings include brother Dennis Schreiner of Cashmere, Washington, sister Verlee Oppman of Aurora, Colorado and sister Sandra and Lou Busto of Redwood City, California. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 4th from 5-8 p.m. at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, Md. 21157.
