Larry Ray Guyton, 65, Taneytown, died Friday, May 25, 2012, at Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.

Born Sept. 23, 1946, in Annapolis, he was the son of the late Guy E. Sr. and Miriam Ifert Guyton.

He was an Air Force Vietnam veteran, having served from 1964 until 1969. He was a truck driver. He enjoyed camping and his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Surviving are a son, Clint P. Guyton, of Taneytown; a daughter, Georgia Guyton, of Oakland; granddaughters Raelyn and Haley Guyton; and brothers Guy Emerson Guyton, of Severn, and Dennis L. Guyton, of Hanover, Pa.

He was predeceased by a brother, David Emerson Guyton.

There will be no local visitation.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. today in the chapel at Rocky Gap Maryland Veteran's Cemetery in Flintstone. Military honors will be provided by Cumberland American Legion Post No. 13.

Arrangements are by Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home in Middletown.
