LaVerne Frances Nottingham, 76, of Westminster passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Lorien of Taneytown. Born March 28, 1938, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Hazel Young Linthicum. She worked for the Hecht Company as a sales representative and retired in 1993. She was a member of St. David's United Church of Christ in Hanover, PA, and also attended Crossroads Community Church in Westminster, and was a member of the Plum Crazy Ladies (Red Hatters). She enjoyed going to church, traveling and being a grandmother. Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald B. and Vivia Nottingham of Rancho Cucamonga, CA and Kevin M. and Clair Nottingham of Westminster; sisters June Zollickoffer of Baltimore, Marty Allen of Arbutus, Ruth Mahlstedt of Baltimore and Mary Lou Hodges of Finksburg; brother Harry Linthicum, Jr. of Baltimore; grandchildren Justin and his wife Christy, Cory, Seth, Christian, Keely and Kacy Nottingham; great-grandson Brooks Nottingham and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Lorraine Keogh and Gloria Golden. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on her birthday, Saturday, March 28th at 11 a.m. at Crossroads Community Church, 895 Leidy Rd., Westminster, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Reid Robinette and Rev. Scott Sager will be co-officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. David's United Church of Christ Building Fund, 142 Hobart Rd., Hanover, PA 17331 or Crossroads Community Church Building Fund, 895 Leidy Rd., Westminster, MD 21157.
