On September 17, 2017 Lawrence E. (Larry) Elliott, of Eldersburg, Maryland, beloved son of the late Emil W. Elliott and the late Margaret E. Elliott, nee Rey; internment private. Larry was born in Baltimore on December 27, 1943 and resided with his family in Irvington. He attended Saint Joseph's Monastery Grade School and was a graduate of the class of 1961 from Edmondson High School. He later attended Catonsville Community College where he earned an Associates degree in Electronics Technology and consistently made the Dean's List for Outstanding Scholastic Success. Larry was employed by the State Highway Administration for over 40 years. He retired as the Traffic Engineer of District 5 in 2002. Larry had a lifelong interest in trains no doubt influenced by his father who worked for the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad at its Mt. Clare Shops. Larry was an avid model railroad enthusiast and enjoyed building and operating his model railroad. He was also a historian of the Denver, Rio Grande & Western (DRG&W) railroad, extensively researching its history, equipment and operations. Friends will gather in Larry's memory on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. for dinner and comradery at E. W.
