Lelia "Lee" "Nicky" Shelton Nickoles, age 70 of Westminster, died after an extended illness on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the Dove House in Westminster. Born March 30, 1944 in Flohrville, she was the daughter of the late Sadie Reynolds. She was the wife of 53 years of John W. Nickoles Jr. of Westminster. She retired from Springfield Hospital Center as a nursing assistant after 33 years of service. She loved to travel, play bingo at Gamber & Community Fire Department and enjoyed spending time with her family and pets. Surviving in addition to her husband are sons John W. Nickoles III and his companion of Westminster, and Robert Nickoles of Emmittsburg, daughter Barbara Keene and her companion of Florida, cousins William and Richard Reynolds, and Helen Arter, 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville on Sunday from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm. . Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10am at the funeral home. Interment in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gamber & Community Fire Department.
