Dr. Leonard Bishop "Peck" Isbister, 90, of Sykesville, died Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at Fairhaven Nursing Home in Sykesville.

Born Aug. 8, 1923, in East Orange, N.J., he was the son of the late Leonard Currie and Mary Esther Bishop Isbister. He was the husband of the late Catherine Bucher Isbister, his wife of 61 years. 

He lived and practiced dentistry in Bel Air for many years. He served as an officer in the Maritime Service during World War II and as an officer in the Navy during the Korean conflict.

Surviving are children John Isbister and wife Sandra, of Ellicott City, Daniel Isbister and wife Melissa, of Bethesda, and Martha Dederich and husband Peter, of Seattle, Wash.; grandchildren Steven Isbister and wife Katherine, Gillian and husband Christopher McCown, and Alex, Nicholas and Connor Isbister; a great-grandson, Calvin Isbister; and a sister, Margaret Lofland, of Orcas Island, Wash.

Service and interment are private.

Arrangements are being handled by Eline Funeral Home in Reisterstown.
