Leonard (Lenny) Joseph Redmond, 55, formerly of Sykesville, MD departed this life to join his Lord and Savior on June 8, 2017. Born October 14, 1961 in Montgomery, MD he was the son of Peggy Jean (Dugan) Redmond and the late John Roosevelt Redmond. Lenny was of the Baptist faith and attended Elders Baptist Church in Eldersburg, MD. Lenny liked to work outdoors and owned his own landscaping company for five years. He was a Farm Manager for Cold Saturday Farm caring for championship Morgan Horses. Lenny had moved to Hunter, MO just six days ago. It was a dream come to true to live in his new home. He had vacationed for many years to Hunter, MO and loved it in Missouri. It had always been his dream to live close to his good friends Mike and Sherry Cambron and their children Eric and Melissa Cambron. Lenny was a big hearted, caring person, who loved his family and friends. Survivors include his fiance Kay (Henson) Plunkert of Sykesville, MD; one son, John Fredrickson of Huntington Beach, CA; two daughters, Janet Redmond and Cyndi Fredrickson of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Rudy (John Jr.) and Jesse Redmond; one sister; Connie Vavosa, two grandchildren, Ava Redmond and Nikki Than; a special nephew, John Bawgus; a special friend, Penny Osburn; and many friends and relatives who mourn his passing. Lenny has now joined a dearly departed sister Juanita (Sissy) Redmond and they can once again watch over one another. A memorial Service will be held at a later date.
