Lester Dale Parsons, 95, of Westminster, died unexpectedly Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at Carroll Hospital Center.

Born April 29, 1917, in Davis, W.Va., he was the son of the late Peter and Bessie Reed Parsons. He was the husband of Virginia "Ginny" Parsons, his wife of 72 years.

He was a member of the VFW Post 467 of Westminster, Telephone Pioneers of America, and The Garrison Rifle and Revolver Club of Maryland. He enjoyed going to the Canaan Valley and Blackwater Resorts. Per his wishes he was cremated and no service will be held at this time.
