Linda Louise Carey, 62, of Montgomery Village, MD, died Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at Montgomery Medical Center in Olney, MD, after a long courageous battle with kidney disease. Born Jan. 17, 1954 in Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Eleanor (Young) Davis and Robert Davis. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Robert Carey. She was a homemaker and enjoyed following politics, playing piano, boggle, singing and reading. She was always up to date on current events. Besides her husband, she is survived by daughters Ashley and Elizabeth Carey, and a grandson Logan Gutierrez, all of Montgomery Village, MD. She was predeceased by a daughter, Christine Cash in 2007. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Wm. Louis Piel officiating. Interment will follow in Deer Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) at www.madd.org.
