Lisa D. Becker, 52, of Hanover entered into God's eternal care Monday, July 21, 2014, at Homewood at Plum Creek in Hanover. She was the wife of David E. Becker for 27 years. Born August 12, 1961 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of Betty (Fry) McDaniel of Westminster, MD and the late Jacob McDaniel. She was the daughter-in-law of Donald E. and Jean Becker of Hanover. Lisa was employed with Con-Agra Foods in Hanover with 30 years of service. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hanover, a 1979 graduate of Westminster High School and a graduate of Millersville University. Lisa was the girls basketball coach for St. Joseph School in Hanover for many years, she enjoyed her flower beds, going to the beach and spending time with her family and friends. Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are two daughters, Paige and Leah Becker both at home; a sister, Rhonda Stem and a brother, Keith McDaniel and his wife Paula all of Westminster, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am Thursday July 24, 2014, at Sacred Heart Basilica, 30 Basilica Drive, Hanover with Rev. James E. Lease as celebrant. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hanover. As per Lisa's wishes there will be no public viewing. Murphy Funeral Home, McSherrystown is handling the arrangements.
