Lonzo Franklin "Bill" Taylor Jr., 76, of Finksburg, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House in Westminster.

Born Dec. 5, 1936, in West Virginia, he was the son of the late Lonzo F. Taylor Sr. and Helen Teeter. He was the husband of Margaret Bopst Taylor, his wife of 45 years.

He was known by many family and friends as "Bill," and for his stories and the woodwork he made for family members at Christmas. He enjoyed the companionship of many pets throughout his life, including his dog Molly who was by his side until his last days.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children Joe and Margaret Hudson, Brenda and Dennis Minor Sr., Milton and Jody Hudson, Ronald Sr. and Lisa Hudson; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother; a sister; and many other family members.

He was predeceased by a grandson, Ronnie Hudson Jr.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Haight Funeral Home and Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Park in Sykesville.
