Louis Franklin Genson, 77, of Eldersburg, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House in Westminster.

Born Nov. 21, 1934, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Vincent J. Sr. and Erma May Liebno Genson. He was the husband of Janice Furlong Genson, who died in 2008.

He had worked as a manufacturer's representative in the mattress industry.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Community in Eldersburg. He enjoyed golfing and spending time at the beach.

Surviving are son and daughter-in-law Stephen L. Genson and Roxanne Reed Genson, of Hampstead; daughters and sons-in-law Cheryl Ann and Paul Stout, of Westminster, and Ann Michele and Eric Mercer, of Woodbine; a brother, Neil L. Genson, of Oakland, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was predeceased by a brother, Vincent J. Genson Jr.

Friends may all from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville

A funeral liturgy will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Community, 915 Liberty Road, Eldersburg. Interment will follow in Springfield Cemetery in Sykesville.
