Dr. Louis Vincent Myers III, DDS, age 68, of Marriottsville, died Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at his home after a courageous struggle with ALS. Born June 19, 1948 in Frederick, he was the son of the late Louis V. Myers Jr. and Margaret Ellen Rippeon Myers. He was the husband of Jerica Ejercito Myers, his wife of 17 years. Dr. Myers was a graduate of Mt. St. Mary's University, Emmitsburg and the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He built his practice, Blue Neon Tooth Dentistry in Eldersburg and practiced for 38 years. He considered his practice "his baby" and thought highly of his staff and patients. He was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, Ellicott City and in his younger years played the piano at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Libertytown. He was also a member of the Maryland Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, 1st Sgt. Lawrence Everhart Chapter; Psi Omega Fraternity; and American Dental Association. He enjoyed playing golf with his wife, gardening, Civil War history, family genealogy, traveling, reading, listening to music and spending time with his family. He loved life and lived it to its fullest every day. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children, Nicholas J. Myers of Ellicott City, Jeric Deus Myers of Baltimore, Jemanuel Mollison Myers of Boston, MA, Mary Jenel Myers of San Francisco, CA, and John Gabriel Myers and Maria Jelou Ejercito Myers, both of Marriottsville; sister, Margaret Elizabeth Myers Schlack and husband Richard II of Martinsburg, WV; one niece and two nephews. The family will receive friends at Hartzler Funeral Home, 11802 Liberty Rd., Libertytown on Thursday, August 18 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, August 19 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 20 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church-Libertytown, 9201 Church St., Union Bridge. Msgr. John Dietzenbach will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. A reception will be held immediately following the interment at Salerno's Restaurant, 1043 Liberty Rd., Eldersburg, MD.
