Lucretia I. Fonte, 89, of Finksburg, died Friday, March 8, 2013, at Carroll Hospital Center.

Born July 11, 1923, in Falling Waters, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Margie Cook. She was wife of the late Anthony Fonte, who died in World War II.

She was employed at Fairchild as a Rosie the Riveter during WWII and then as an assistant department manager for the catalog department at Montgomery Wards.

She was a member of Hilltop Assembly of God in Westminster and the Pentecostal Church in Marlo, W.Va.

Surviving are son Robert A. Fonte; daughters Rose Fonte-Bergman and husband Douglas; Jackie Fonte, Michelle Frye and Amber Fonte; great-granddaughter Erin Kinsler Sasser and husband Jimmy; and great-great grandson Jayden Sasser.

She was predeceased by 13 brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hilltop Assembly of God, 30 N. Cranberry Road, Westminster, with her pastor, the Rev. Pete Puckett, officiating. Interment will follow in Harmony Cemetery in Falling Waters, W.Va.
