Lucy Joanne Swaim, 76, of Hanover, PA, formerly of Sykesville passed away at home on Saturday, June 13, 2015. Born June 24, 1938, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Samuel A. and Rose M. (Marsiglia) Liberto. She was the wife of the late Gregory D. Swaim, who died in 1980. She worked at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory where she was an Executive Secretary, retiring after 33 years of service. Lucy was strong in her Christian beliefs and her Catholic faith. She enjoyed painting and was an accomplished artist. She also enjoyed dancing, gardening and traveling. Surviving are children Ronald W. Lee and wife Elizabeth of Westminster, Katherine A. Lee of Taneytown and David M. Lee of Hanover, PA; brother Vincent Liberto and wife Nanci of Severna Park and sister Mary R. Harwood and husband Bruce of Littlestown, PA; grandchildren Jeremy Lee, Jason Poole, Shelly Lee, Michael Lee, Scott Davis and Sushannah Davis. Also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, 3 stepchildren and numerous, loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8pm and Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8pm at the PRITTS FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday at 10:30 am at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, Marriottsville.
