After 90 years of a beautiful life, Luther L. Blauvelt died March 1, 2018 in Florida with family by his side. Luther and his loving wife Lillian (Walthall) of 66 years had recently moved from Westminster, Maryland to Sarasota, Florida to enjoy the weather and family. He is survived by sons Terry Blauvelt and Dennis Blauvelt, daughters Debra Pifer and Pamela Eatrides, grandchildren Crystal Pifer, Jessica Gropp, Chris Blauvelt and Amy Blauvelt and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 brothers- Lawrence Blauvelt and Robert Blauvelt and 4 sisters Mittie Coppersmith, Jean Seitz, Joan Phillips and Rose Haller. Born in Westminster, Maryland Luther served in the Army during the Korean war and then worked for BF Shriver Canning Factory until it closed. He continued working in that location as Manager of Westminster Warehousing Services until he retired at the age of 65. As a dedicated Jehovah's Witness he loved sharing knowledge of the bible with others and served as an elder in the congregation. All those who were touched by Luther's life are invited to attend a memorial service on Sat., April 7, 2018 at 3pm at the Kingdom Hall, 1131 South Pleasant Valley Rd, Westminster, MD 21158.
