Born March 20, 1930, he was the son of the late Luther Thomas and Stella Mae Rice Geasey. He was the beloved husband of Shirley Frock Geasey for 58 wonderful years. Mr. Geasey was an active member of the Grace Rocky Hill Lutheran Church of Woodsboro, where he served on the church council, the cemetery board, and previously taught Sunday School. Mr. Tom was affectionately referred to as the "lollipop man" by the children each Sunday. Mr. Geasey served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the Thurmont Conservation and Sportsman's Club, the American Legion Post #11, and a previous member of the Lewistown Ruritan Club. He very much enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially his trips to Canada with friends that he affectionately referred to as "The Lunch Bunch." Mr. Geasey retired in 1995 as a Structural Engineer from Fort Detrick in Frederick. After retirement he followed his passion of firearms as a self-employed gunsmith where his specialty was custom gun stocks. He enjoyed wood working, as well as cabinet and furniture making. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Pamela Geasey Miller of Thurmont and a sister, Ruth Geasey Powell, also of Thurmont, and one sister-in-law, Jean Cline Frock of Frederick. His extended family consists of numerous nieces and nephews. He also has two goddaughters; Heather Day and Alyssa Marino. He was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Geasey Fisher, and three brothers-in law; Howard C. Fisher, Raymond Powell, and Bobby D. Frock.
