M. Edith Warfield, 86, of Westminster, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at Sun Valley at the Meadows Assisted Living in Westminster.

Born April 8, 1926, in Red Oak, Va., she was the daughter of the late Eugene F. and Lavie L. Clements King. She was the wife of Clarence W. Warfield, who died Sept. 10, 2006.

She was an operator supervisor with the Chesapeake and Potomac Phone Company. Over the years she attended the Baptist church and served as a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed working in her yard and most of all she enjoyed caring for her family.

Surviving are daughter Sharon Sullivan and husband Steve, of Westminster; son Bruce Warfield and wife Susan, of Finksburg; grandchildren Michael Warfield and wife Debra, of Hampstead, Dale Sullivan and wife Jennifer, and Kelly Sullivan, all of Westminster, and April Claggett and husband Charlie, of Hanover, Pa.; and great-grandchildren Dylan, Megan, Gina, Brooke, Grant, Logan and Makenzie.

She was predeceased by her siblings and was the last of her family.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service, 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, Pa., with the Rev. Larry Steen officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Gettysburg.
