Mabel L. Delph, 76, of Cullowhee, N.C., formerly of Westminster, died Sunday, April 7, 2013, in Asheville, N.C.

Born Aug. 12, 1936, in Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Chestnut Bean. She was the wife of Leroy Delph, who died in 2003.

She had been a certified nursing assistant for many years. She was a longtime member of Glenwood Baptist Church in Glenwood.

She enjoyed listening to bluegrass gospel music.

Surviving are children and spouses Barbara Jean and Ed Zulch, of Cullowhee, Robert and Tammy Delph, of Taneytown, Ronald and Joan Delph, of Owings Mills, Donald Delph and companion Sabrina McCrary, of Cullowhee, and Thelma Slagle and Sarah Slagle, both of Elizabethtown, Tenn.; sisters Annie Bryant, of Greenville, Tenn., and Ann David, of Reidsville, N.C.; grandchildren Amy Taylor, Heather Pane and Donald Delph Jr.; great-grandchildren Sarah Pane and Braelynn Winters; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service, noon Friday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, with the Rev. Bill Phebus officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
