Mackey B. Clay, 81, of Gettysburg, Pa., died Friday morning, May 3, 2013, at home.

Born Jan. 17, 1932, in Chesapeake, Ohio, he was the son of the late Clifford and Alice Ferguson Clay. He was the husband of Lola M. Mattison Clay, his wife of 55 years.

He was a veteran of the Army, serving as Corporal during the Korean War. He worked at Westinghouse Northrup Grumman as an industrial electronics technician.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children Lorie Marie Robertson and Clifford Arthur Clay, both of Gettysburg, and Andrew Christopher Clay, of Red Lion, Pa.; grandchildren Rachel Robertson, Matthew Clay, Aaron Clay, Samuel Robertson, Asher Robertson, Rowan Clay and Nicholas Clay; and great-grandchildren Isabella White and Peter White.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Carl Harris and the Rev. Tim George officiating. Interment, with military honors being presented by the Adams County Allied Veterans, will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
