Madge Brown Magee, 92, of Westminster and resident of Carroll Lutheran Village passed away on Monday, September 8, 2014 at Carroll Hospital Center. Born February 1, 1922 in Westminster, she was the daughter of the late Howard Henry and Eleanor Elmira (Francis) Brown. She was the wife of the late Charles Francis "Gee" Magee who predeceased her in 2009. During World War II she worked for S.H. Tevis & Sons and was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Westminster, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. She was a former member of the Carroll County Choral Society. She enjoyed knitting and reading. Surviving are son John H. Magee and wife Pat of Westminster and daughter Bonnie S. Evans and husband Jay of York, PA. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at PRITTS FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Marty Kuchma officiating. A private internment will held in Kriders Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Paul's UCC or to the .
