Maggie Joann Hurd, age 80, of Keymar, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 24, 2018. Born May 11, 1937, in Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Wilard Bledsoe and Katherine Goins Bledsoe. She was predeceased by husbands, the late Elmer Rogers and Worley Hurd. Maggie had worked in nursing at the former Rosewood Hospital. She loved singing and her church, Stoneyridge Missionary Baptist Church, Marriottsville. She especially loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Lynn Johnson of Westminster and Sandra and William VonBussenius of Keymar; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Darlene Rogers of Owings Mills and Terry and Betty Rogers of Westminster; brothers and sisters-in-law, Howard and Mobee Bledsoe, Lawrence and Linda Bledsoe and David Bledsoe all of Tennessee and sister, Marjorie Lawson of Tennessee. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Loretta Brooks. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, from 10 to 12 noon at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville where a funeral service will follow at 12noon. Interment will be in Springfield Cemetery, Sykesville.
