Makenzee Christian George, 17, of Westminster passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 in Westminster. She was born on April 13, 1999 in Westminster and was the beloved daughter of Matthew Christian and Heather Marie (Forrester) George of Westminster. Makenzee was a senior at Winters Mill High School, and was also studying nursing at Carroll County Career and Tech Center. She was a member of the Maryland Army National Guard. Softball was her passion in life. She played for Jaycees, Charles Carroll, North Carroll Hot Shots, and Winters Mill High School Falcons. During her freshman year of high school she notably received her softball varsity letter. Surviving in addition to her parents are maternal grandparents Bob and Colleen Forrester of Westminster, paternal grandmother June George of Westminster; sister and brother-in-law Emalee A. and Kenneth E. Martz III, of Hanover, PA; aunts Rachel Duphily, Bobbi Bass, and Lori Davis; uncles Christopher George and Stanley George; niece McKenna Martz; nephew Koel Martz; and several cousins. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather Alan George. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 9, 2017 from 3 to 8 pm at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 10th at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Walt Gessner officiating.
