Margaret Elizabeth Smith, 82, of Westminster, died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, at Longview Nursing Home in Manchester.

Born Jan. 1, 1931, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Grace Litz Seitler. She was the wife of John S. Smith, whom she married May 13, 1950.

She had been an addressograph operator for Equitable Trust Bank. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church. She enjoyed doing word searches, walking, music and writing letters to her family.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a sister-in-law, Doris Gregory, of Littlestown, Pa.; niece Patricia Jennings and husband David, of Westminster; and nephews James Bradley Seitler and wife Laura, of Littlestown, Pa., and Raymond Seitler and wife Martha, of Martinsburg, W.Va.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Frances Smith; and brothers Raymond, Joseph and James Seitler.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster. Officiating will be her brother-in-law Monsignor Alfred Smith. Interment will follow in Druid Ridge Cemetery.
