Margaret "Jeanne" Lasher, 88, of Hanover, PA, formerly of Westminster, died November 17, 2017 at Homewood at Plum Creek Health Care Center. Born on June 19, 1929 in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Matthias "Daniel" and Margaret (Price) Hoffman. She was the cherished wife of 65 years to the late Arthur E. Lasher, who predeceased her on May 8, 2013. Jeanne graduated from Montgomery Blair High School. During her high school years, she was a majorette. It was also during this period of her life that her natural artistic talent flourished. Self- taught she sketched and painted mixed media portraits of family and friends over the years. Jeanne was a homemaker and loving mother to her family. Upon her husband's retirement they enjoyed traveling the United States, and then broadened their travels to see many landmarks in the world. She was a former longtime member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Silver Spring, and an active member of Westminster United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son; Gary A. Lasher of Easton; son and daughter-in-law Glenn E. and Karen Lasher of Crofton; daughter Diane S. Snow of Hagerstown; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Daniel Hoffman. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 25th at 10:30 a.m. at Westminster United Methodist Church, 165 E. Main St., Westminster, with Pastor Shari McCourt officiating. Interment will follow in Pipe Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made in Jeanne's name to the , P.O.
