Margaret Roselie Metzger, 90, of Westminster and resident of Carroll Lutheran Village, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Carroll Hospice Dove House. Born September 9, 1924, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Mary (Jackson) Sears. Twice married, she was the wife of the late Fred Lythgoe and the late Mirvin Metzger. Margaret was retired from Sears & Roebuck where she worked as a sales associate. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the American Legion in Hampstead, Post #200 and formerly Post #183 in Parkville. She loved playing cards and Bingo, listening to music and spending time with her family and her friends at Carroll Lutheran Village. Surviving are daughters Margaret "Peggy" Light of Dundalk and Mary Laatsch of Westminster; grandchildren Christopher Laatsch of Middle River and Jessica Laatsch of Westminster and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 5 siblings. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, July 9th at 11:00 am at the Krug Chapel at Carroll Lutheran Village, 300 St. Luke Circle, Westminster, with Chaplain Jimmie Schwartz officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the start of the service in the chapel. Interment will be private. Cremation arrangements handled by PRITTS FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, Westminster.
