Marie Esther Kuhn, 82, of Bonneauville, Pa., died Monday, April 14, 2014, at home.

Born Sept. 18, 1931, in Bonneauville, she was the daughter of the late George A. and Esther M. Eck Kuhn.

She retired from Littlestown National Bank, where she worked for more than 23 years. She also worked for Community National Bank and PNC Bank. She served as auditor for Mount Pleasant Township for six years. After her career in banking, she worked at the Kenworthy Funeral Home in Bonneauville, since it opened in 1996.

She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Bonneauville, where she served as a parish treasurer and as a past secretary. She served on the Parish Council of Catholic Women. She was a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Catholic War Vets Post 1432, where she served as a former trustee. She was past-president, secretary and treasurer of the Conewago District Council of Catholic Women. She also served as treasurer of the Harrisburg Diocesan Council of Catholic Women for two years.

She enjoyed volunteering at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church potpie dinners, which she did for more than 50 years.

Surviving are daughter Mary Esther Kuhn and companion George R. Flook Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by brothers William, Simon, Walter, and Albert Kuhn.

Friends may call from 9 until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 12 E. Hanover, St., Bonneauville.

A Mass of Christian burial will held 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the church, with the Rev. Peter DiTomasso as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church Cemetery in Bonneauville.

In lieu of flowers, the memorial contributions may be sent to St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 12 E. Hanover St., Gettysburg, PA 17325.

Arrangements are by Kenworthy Funeral Home in Bonneauville.
