Marie Golding Barnes, 99, of Westminster, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at Sun Valley at the Meadows Assisted Living.

Born April 29, 1913, in Lawrenceville, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Warren and Matilda Smith Golding. She was the wife of Beverley Lee Barnes, who died in 1984.

She worked as a merchandiser for Montgomery Wards. She lived for many years at Locust House in Westminster and she attended Church of the Open Door.

Surviving are children William Barnes and wife Beverly, of White Haven, Pa., David Barnes and wife Grace, of Wheaton, and Donald Barnes, of Westminster; sisters Virginia Wilkinson, of Houston, Texas, and Edith Haralcher, of Fort Myers, Fla.; grandchildren Jason, Jonathan, Andrew and Daniel Barnes; and a great-grandchild, Kaelin Barnes.

She was predeceased by siblings Florence Wargny, Warren Golding Jr., Elizabeth Hull; and a daughter-in-law, Deborah Barnes.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Aldrich officiating. Interment will follow in Meadowridge Memorial Park in Elkridge.
