Marjorie Mae Trent, 87, of Hampstead, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at North Pines Assisted Living in Manchester.

Born Oct. 21, 1925, in Moorefield, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Mary Mae Southerly Zirk. She was the wife of James Carson Trent Sr., who died Feb. 15, 2005.

She was a clerk with the Social Security Administration and was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She enjoyed flower gardening, was an avid reader and collected bells.

Surviving are children James C. Trent Jr., of Middle River, Carolyn Mae Trent, of Westminster, Sheila Ann Baroody, of Hanover, Pa., Deborah Ellen Fairburn, of Forest Hill, and Douglas Allan Trent, of Bel Air; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Gregory Allan Gall. She was the last of her immediate family.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Amy Sarah Lewis officiating. Interment will be in Holly Hill Memorial Gardens in Middle River.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Wesley United Methodist Church, 3239 Carrollton Road, Hampstead, MD 21074.
