Marjorie R. (Dudderar) Smith, 71, of Troy, WV, fell asleep in death Thursday, December 10, 2015, at United Hospital Center, after a brief illness. Born November 4, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of Bailey P and Elisabeth (Good) Dudderar. She graduated from Sykesville High School in 1962, and married James D. Smith, Jr., on September 3, 1963. Margie worked for the past 13 years as an assistant librarian at Gilmer Public Library. Prior to that, she was employed by the Glenville Democrat for over 20 years. Margie enjoyed her family, books, cats, and all things English. She kept in touch with a wide circle of friends by mail and on facebook. She was a faithful member of the Weston Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband; sons Donald C. Smith and Carl W. Smith; sisters Norma Jean Ferguson and Barbara A. Dudderar; and step�father, Bay Rosier. She is survived by son James Darrell Smith III, Walkersville, MD; daughter-in-law Laura Smith, Manchester MD; Grandchildren Teena, Noelle, Adam and Aimee Smith; brother Charles Rosier, Sykesville MD; brothers and sisters-in-law Joe and Rhonda Smith, Troy WV, Susan and Randy Atkinson, Troy, WV, Sharon and Ben Cason, Mt. Airy MD, and several generations of loving nieces and nephews. A private burial was held December 11, 2015 at the family cemetery in Troy, WV. A memorial celebration will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Margie's name to The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, 25 Columbia Heights, Brooklyn NY 11201-2483, or Gilmer Public Library, 214 Walnut Street, Glenville, WV 26351
