Mark Edward Evelius, 56, of Westminster, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 20, 2015 at his home. Born on October 1, 1958 in Baltimore, he was the son of Mary Agnes Kelly Evelius of Baltimore and the late John Charles Evelius. He was the husband of Mary Jo Evelius, his wife of 33 years. He was a graduate of Mt. St. Joseph, class of 1976 and Loyola College, class of 1980. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church. He enjoyed reading, working in the yard, golf, and was an avid Baltimore Raven and Oriole fan, but his most prized possession was his family. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are son and daughter-in-law Scott M. and Theresa A. Evelius of Hanover, PA; daughter and son-in-law Beth Ann and Grant Lindsay of Westminster; son Timothy J. Evelius of Westminster; daughter Jill B. Evelius of Westminster; siblings Dr. John Evelius of Towson, Joseph Evelius of Towson, Paul Evelius of Ellicott City, and Mary Beth Evelius Jones of Towson; and grandchildren Cole J. Evelius, Brooke I. Lindsay, and Piper L. Evelius. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
