Mary Ann Kraft, 89, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., died Monday, March 4, 2013, at Conway Medical Center.

Born Nov. 8, 1923, in Buck Run, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Krol Poslosky. She was the wife of the late Francis Kraft.

She grew up in the coal mine region of Pennsylvania and before finishing high school she went to work in a clothing factory to help support her family and the troops during World War II.

She met her husband at an amusement park in Philadelphia, while he was on shore leave from the Navy. They married a few years later and lived in Washington, D.C. They eventually moved to Silver Spring to raise their family.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed baking, gardening and bowling. When her husband retired, they moved to Taneytown, where she became an accomplished candy maker.

She enjoyed traveling, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren. After her husband passed away, she moved to Myrtle Beach, S.C. There she enjoyed the warm weather, family, new friends and activities. She especially enjoyed time with her family, and old friends and kept in touch with them and visited them on her trips back north.

Surviving are son John Kraft and wife Linda, of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; daughter Chris Oglebay and husband Robert "Bob," of Conway, S.C.; brothers John Poslosky and wife Maryann, and Stan Poslosky and wife Alice, all of Pennsylvania; sisters Ann Honyara and Julie Vinansky, both of Pennsylvania; grandchildren Brandy Boone and husband Danny, Clinton Kraft and wife Valerie, Andy Flinchum, Eric Vandergrift, Matthew Hall and wife Carmen, and Kim Boyd; 10 great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.

She was predeceased by brothers Lefty and Joe Slifka, and Tom Poslosky.
