Mary Lorraine Demuth, 90, of Westminster, died Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at her residence. Born July 19, 1924 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Helen "Nellie" (Murphy) Miller and Frank Miller. She was the wife of the late Peter John Demuth, whom she married at the age of 17 and together they had seven children. She was an avid card and Bingo player, loved the ocean, crab cakes, strawberry daiquiris, the Orioles, gardening, spending time with family, and watching the Hallmark channel. She fought the good fight, and always cheered for the good guys- Chuck Norris, Charles Bronson and John Wayne. She was known for making a delicious meal for her family. Mary Lorraine was a devout Catholic and devoted her life to her faith and spiritual growth. She had a very intimate relationship with Jesus Christ and the Blessed Mother. Surviving are her children David, Frank, Nancy, Peter, Thomas, Robert and Janet; a sister Dottie, grandchildren Frank, Jennifer, Larry, Andrea, Rand, Alexis, Amanda, Zachary, Peter, Drake and Noah; as well as six great-grandchildren. Mary Lorraine lived a great life as a domestic engineer, mother, daughter, grandmother and friend. She was predeceased by 3 siblings. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster, with Father Jaime Garcia officiating. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Marriottsville.
