Mary Louise Emch Krempin, 69, of Westminster, died Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Carroll Hospital Center.

Born Jan. 9, 1945, in Toledo, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Alice Bitter Emch and Myrle Emch. She was the wife of Kenneth R. Krempin, her husband of 48 years.

She was a graduate of Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa, where she was a member of the acapella traveling choir and played tenor saxophone and piano.

Before retiring she worked at Solomon Lutheran Day School as an elementary teacher. She also worked as a makeup artist for Estee Lauder. She owned and operated The Coffee Grinder with her husband at the Pennsylvania Dutch Farmers Market.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughter and son-in-law Nicole Krempin-Presley and husband Ty Presley, of Pensacola, Fla.; brothers Charles Emch, of Shelbyville, Tenn., and Richard Emch and wife Lisa, of Woodville, Ohio; and grandchildren Alexandra Krempin-Dykes, and Julia and Jacob Presley.

She was predeceased by a sister, Janet Allwardt.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church, 21 Carroll St., Westminster. Interment will be private.
