Mary Virginia "Ginnie" Kirby, 74, of Westminster, died Friday, March 28, 2014, at Transitions Healthcare in Sykesville.

Born March 26, 1940, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late John L. and Rachel Carnes Gardner. She was the wife of Wayne W. Kirby, Sr., her husband for 56 years.

She was a 1958 graduate of Patterson High School. She was retired and had worked as a secretary for Trinity Assembly of God Church and the Catholic Archdiocese in Baltimore.

She was a member of the Dog Owners Training Club and Trinity Assembly of God Church.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are son Wayne W. Kirby, Jr., of York, Pa.; daughter Cathy L. Kirby Ondrish, of Eldersburg; sister Pearl Wilinski, of Rosedale; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by brother John L. Gardner, Jr. and grandson Zachary Ondrish.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster.

Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Debra Dunn officiating. Interment will be private.
