Maurice M. Pickett, Jr. "Moe", age 54, of Spring Grove, passed away suddenly at home on January 18, 2017. He was the husband of Victoria Lee (Martin) Blackburn; they shared 9 years together. Maurice was born on October 30, 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland. He took great pride in bowling, fishing, and his boat, and he loved to take trips to Chincoteague. He was the proud owner of the Country Stripper in Westminster, MD where he enjoyed furniture restoration prior to his retirement. He cherished his grandchildren Marlee and Teaguen, who affectionately called him Pop-pop. In addition to his wife Victoria, Maurice is survived by his sons Ronald Anderson, Timothy Robertson, and Brian Ray; his daughters Nikki DuVall, Ilena Blackburn, Aniela Zollars and Becky Roush; his two step-grandchildren; his four grandchildren; his parents Maurice M. Pickett Sr. and Patricia (Coe) Pickett and his two sisters Nita Pickett and Michelle Durange and one brother Joe Pickett. Following cremation, a memorial service in celebration of his life will be held on Monday at 7:00 pm at Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-7 pm at the funeral home.
