Melvin Gross, formerly of Westminster, died Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at the Calvert Memorial Hospital. Born May 30, 1935 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Eva Frieman Gross and Morris Gross. He was the husband of the late Barbara Lee Gross who died May 31, 2001. He was employed over 50 years as a master barber. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a devoted father and husband. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Scott T. Gross and wife Jean of Hanover, Pa., daughters and son-in-law, Lauri Wood and husband Tracy of Myrtle Beach, SC and Janine Gross of Reisterstown, two sisters Lynn Scherr and Judy Askin, both of Westminster, grandchildren Ashley Gross, Candace Gross, Brandi Gross, Joshua Wood and Seth Wood. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery.
