54, of Cumberland, MD, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at his home. Born September 12, 1962, in Westminster, MD, Mr. Blizzard was the son of the late Melvin Leroy Blizzard and Marion Blizzard Sampson. He was also preceded in death by an infant brother: David Blizzard. Melvin was previously employed with Schaeffer Mechanical as a Plumber. He was a member of Saint Mark's United Church of Christ, Hampstead, MD. Melvin is survived by his wife of 25 years: Cathy Ann Blizzard; and his daughters: Elizabeth Graham and husband, Joseph, Pembroke, NC; Naomi Blizzard; and Victoria Collison and husband, Ronald, all of Hanover, PA. He also leaves behind four grandchildren: Tyler Graham, Isabella Garcia, John Blizzard, and Alexander Blizzard. A memorial service will be conducted at Saint Mark's United Church of Christ, Hampstead, MD, at a later date. Lenny was a wonderful person with a dry wit that kept the choir members at St. Marks laughing during practices. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
