Michael E. "Pappy Jones" Warehime, 59, of Westminster passed away suddenly of natural causes on January 19, 2018 at Carroll Hospice Dove House, in Westminster. Born in Hanover, Pa. December 22, 1958, he was the son of Joan (Shaffer) Cumberland of Westminster and the late Gerald Warehime. He was the partner of Sonya Hook for 18 years. Michael worked in construction for over 30 years. He was a former member of the Westminster Moose. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his cat Lyla a.k.a. "fleabag", camping, gardening, cooking, the outdoors, watching Westerns and cowboy movies and was always helping his neighbors. He was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan. In addition to his partner, he is survived by his children, Brandon Warehime of Towson, Tamara "Tama" Warehime of Westminster and Rebecca Warehime; and siblings Dennis (Tina) Warehime of Hanover, Pa., Steve (Terri) Warehime of Westminster, Craig Warehime of Westminster, Tim (Linda) Warehime of Westminster; and a half-sister Jennifer "Plum" Warehime of Westminster; his niece Danielle Warehime. He is also survived by Sonya's mother Delores Hook; and Sonya's brothers and their families Jeff (Ada) Hook and their children Izzy, Leo and Eva, and Brad (Alex) Hook. He was predeceased by his son Kevin Warehime in 2005. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 22, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, Md. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Art Monroe, Jr officiating. Interment will be in Deer Park Cemetery. Donations to help defray funeral cost may be made to the funeral home.
