Michael George Rodney, 61, of Windsor Mill, died unexpectedly Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at Northwest Hospital in Randallstown.

Born Sept. 27, 1951, in Chestertown, he was the son of the late James Edward Rodney Sr. and Hildagard Liebhardt Rodney. He was the husband of Susanna Windsor Rodney, his wife of 33 years.

He served honorably with the Army during the Vietnam War. He was a truck driver for various trucking companies over the years. He enjoyed being out on his 16-foot Carolina Skiff crabbing and steaming crabs.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Katherine Elizabeth "Katie" Rodney; brothers James E. Rodney Jr., David A. and Raymond C. Rodney; a sister, Anne C. Paradise; two nieces; and other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by a brother, Richard E. Rodney.

A memorial gathering will be held from 10 a.m. until time of prayers, 11 a.m. Thursday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, with the Rev. Fr. Andrew S. Mohl officiating. Interment will be private.
