Mickey Dean Wilkinson, 61, of Mount Airy, died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, at Glade Valley Nursing Home in Walkersville.

Born May 10, 1952, in Jacksonville, Fla., he was the son of the late William D. and Joanne Martin Wilkinson. He was the husband of Teresa A. Munday Wilkinson.

He served in the Navy for six years and then worked as an electrical engineer for Bechtel Power for 25 years prior to his illness.

He enjoyed hot rods and working on cars.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children Michael Wilkinson, of Mississippi, Ashley Endicott and husband Jason, of North Carolina, and Kayla Wilkinson, of Mount Airy; grandchildren Chase Wilkinson, Aiden Endicott, Paityn Wilkinson and Lucas Endicott; and siblings Michele Reeder, Melinda Martin, Martin Wilkinson, Marla Treadaway and Mitzi Taylor.

Services and interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the , 108 Byte Drive, Suite 103, Frederick, MD 21702.

Arrangements are by Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory in Winfield.
