Mildred Gail Hart of Grasonville, MD died on November 21, 2014 at her home. She was 79. Born on September 2, 1935 in Burdine, KY to the late Hassel Rutherford and Stella Whitt Rutherford, she grew up in Brooklyn Park, MD. On July 5, 1952 she married Alvin K. Hart and they would reside in Brooklyn Park, MD and then move to Catonsville Manor where they raised their family. In 1960 Gail began her career with Giant Foods in Westview. In 1985 Gail and her family moved to Grasonville and she would continue to work for Giant Foods in Annapolis, MD until her retirement. Gail loved all things Eastern Shore including fishing, crabbing and the outdoors. She loved the O's, NASCAR, crafts including needle point and ceramics. Spending time with her grandchildren was her greatest joy. She had been a past member of the Moose Lodge and of the ladies auxiliary with the VFW and helped with bingo. Gail is survived by her son Allan K. Hart of Grasonville, MD; daughter Patricia L. Kreimer of Sykesville, MD; son Michael Hart (Susan) of Grasonville, MD; 8 grandchildren Ryan Dyson (Brandi); Kyle Dyson; Brooke Hart; Leah Kreimer; Jacob Hart; David Kreimer (Tammy); Dawn Croghan (Adam); Dana Connor (Bill); and three great grandchildren Aidan Croghan, Chantel King and Shelby Broccolina. She was predeceased by her husband Alvin in 2008; son-in-law David Kreimer in 2005; sister Joan Collins; and sister Phyllis Snyder. A visitation will be held on Monday, November 24, 2014 from 6-8pm at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A. in Chester, MD where a service will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 11 am. Interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Compass Regional Hospice, 255 Comet Drive, Centreville, MD 21617.
