Mildred Katherine Janyska, 100, of Sykesville, died Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at Chapel Hill Nursing Center in Randallstown.

Born Nov. 7, 1912, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late John David and Anna Cademore Blinke. She was the wife of the late Paul Jerome Janyska.

She had been a homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Community in Eldersburg. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, and spending time with her grandchildren

Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law Paul J. Jr. and Bernadette Janyska, of Finksburg, Bernard V. and Joyce Janyska, of Marriottsville, and Joseph G. and Joanne Janyska, of Sykesville; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by siblings Albert, Bernard, John and Lawrence Blinke and Evelyn Feeney.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville.

A funeral liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Community, 915 Liberty Road, Eldersburg. Interment will be in Meadowridge Memorial Park in Elkridge.
