Muriel Ida Eaton, 87, of Taneytown, died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at Seasons Hospice at Northwest Hospital in Randallstown.

Born March 14, 1926, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Gladys Brown. She was the wife of the late Delbert Eaton Sr.

She had been the head cook at Oakland Mills High School for 16 years. She enjoyed reading, shopping at Walmart and being with family.

Surviving are her children Linda Baier, of Taneytown, David Eaton, of Howard County, Howard Eaton, of Taneytown, and Sandy Dennison and her husband Scott, of Pasadena; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her children Delbert Eaton Jr. and Marlene German; sons-in-law Dave Baier and Dale German; and a sister, Patricia Forrest.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service, 11 a.m. Tuesday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the , 1393 Progress Way, Suite 908, Eldersburg, MD 21784; or to Seasons Hospice at Northwest Hospital Center in Randallstown.
