Myrtle Elizabeth Sauter, 92, of Westminster, formerly of Woodlawn, died Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Long View Nursing Home.

Born Aug. 5, 1920, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late William Arndt and Irene Bentz Arndt. She was the wife of George Washington Sauter.

She had been a typist for Western Electric and later a Claims Clerk for the Social Security Administration for 20 years

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughters Nancy Scherr, of Baltimore, Peggy Wilson, of Charlotte, N.C., and Susan Jackson, of Thornton, Colo.; a son, George W. Sauter, of Woodstock; a sister, Irene Barker, of Baltimore; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother, William Arndt; and a sister, Bernadette Rogers.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield.

A Funeral Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John's Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster. Interment will be held at 2 p.m. in Druid Ridge Cemetery in Pikesville.
