Nancy Drabic Blacksten Reichlin, 73, of Westminster Maryland, passed away peacefully and surrounded by love at the Dove House on June 18, 2016, following her year-long battle with cancer. Nancy was born on December 16, 1942 in Union Bridge, Maryland and was the daughter of the late Pete and Lola Knouse Drabic. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 26 years, Karl V. Reichlin (2015), her first husband Harold T. Blacksten (1976), and her son Jeffrey S. Blacksten (2001). She is survived by her son Mark E. Blacksten and wife Tracie; step-daughter Vicky L. McDonold and husband Chris; brother Ed Drabic and wife Deb; grandchildren Sean Blacksten, Sydney Blacksten and Emily McDonold Palmer; nephew Michael E. Drabic and many other loving extended family members and friends - especially her dear friends Joyce E. Storey and Cathy Mercado. Nancy was a 1961 graduate of Francis Scott Key High School and 1964 graduate of Frederick Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse and worked for over 40 years at Carroll County General Hospital in numerous departments but spent the majority of her nursing career as a GYN/Postpartum nurse in the Family Birth Place. Following retirement she was always on hand as a caregiver to a family member or friend in need. Nancy loved spending time with her friends and family, listening to music, flower gardening, the Baltimore Orioles, and traveling - especially tropical and beach vacations. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church and St. John Lutheran Church. Family, friends and all those who knew Nancy are welcome to visit the family at PRITTS FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, on Tuesday, June 21st from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 22nd at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Kristin Dubsky officiating. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Libertytown. Memorial contributions can be made to Carroll Hospital Center Auxiliary 200 Memorial Ave, Westminster, MD 21157.
