Nelson Eugene Clarke, Sr., 80, of Westminster died Monday July, 21, 2014 at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Born July 3, 1934 in Sparrows Point he was the son of the late Gladys I. Wilhelm and Finley Robert Clarke. He was the husband of Brenda L. Baker Clarke. He was a graduate of Sparrows Point High School, class of 1954. He was in the Army Reserve C-Troop, 815th Tank Battalion. He retired in 1996, working as a mechanical draftsman for AAI Corp. He was an active church member at First Church of God of Westminster. He enjoyed crocheting, technology and his gadgets, and communicating worldwide on the computer Surviving in addition to his wife are children Nelson E. Clarke, Jr., of Virginia Beach, VA, Dawn S. Ader of Sparrows Point, Francisca G. Clarke of Frederick, Gandalf B. Clarke, of Frederick, Andrew M. Jarboe of Blandon, PA and Nathaniel J. Jarboe of Westminster; Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. He was predeceased by 2 sisters and 1 brother. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26th at 11:00 am at the First Church of God of Westminster with Rev. Raymond Duvall, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 am until the start of the memorial service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributes may be made to First Church of God of Westminster, 27 S. Center St., Westminster MD 21157.
